Three Surfaces, Three Different Jobs
We install, we do not sell materials, so there is no stock we are trying to move. The recommendation comes down to the house and how the surface gets used.

Clay brick pavers
Fired brick, with the color running through the whole unit rather than sitting on the surface. It holds its tone for decades and sits naturally against older brick homes.
Best for: front walks, porches, anything next to original masonry

Concrete pavers
Manufactured, so sizes are consistent and the range of shapes, textures and large format slabs is far wider. Installation is faster and the choice of pattern is broader.
Best for: patios, driveways, pool decks, large areas

Natural stone
Quarried bluestone, limestone and flagstone, with variation in color and thickness no manufactured product reproduces. It costs more and takes longer to set properly.
Best for: entrances and terraces where the detail is the point

Common Questions
Do brick pavers fade over time?
Clay brick holds its color because the color is the fired clay itself, right through the unit. Concrete pavers carry pigment, and the surface can soften a shade over many years of sun. Good manufacturers blend pigment through the whole unit rather than just the face, which is why the paver you buy matters.
Should pavers be sealed?
It is optional, not required. Sealing deepens the color and makes the surface easier to clean, which people like around a grill or an outdoor kitchen. It also has to be redone every few years. An unsealed paver patio installed properly lasts just as long.
Can I shovel or plow a paver driveway in winter?
Yes. Pavers handle shovels, snowblowers and plows the same as any hard surface. Keep the plow blade set so it rides just above the surface rather than scraping it, and go easy on harsh de-icing salts on newly installed work.
What goes wrong most often when a paver job is done badly?
Two things, and both are underneath. A base that is too shallow or never properly compacted, and missing edge restraint around the perimeter. The surface looks fine the first season, then it settles in the middle and spreads at the edges. Neither problem is visible on the day it is finished.
Do you cover Clawson and the surrounding cities?
Yes. We work across Oakland County and the surrounding area, including Clawson, Troy, Royal Oak, Madison Heights, Birmingham and Berkley.
